Alpha – Almost Beta ThunderBolt Kernel 2 Apr 11
Alright, decided to get a ThunderBolt on Wednesday, wanted to be grandfathered into the unlimited data plan. So I decided to put together a kernel for my newly rooted phone.
Don’t worry, I still plan to work on the Frankenstine releases, EVO/INC/BRAVO. Eventually, I will get Mecha integrated into the same tree, it’ll make my life so much easier.
Features:
2.6.32.21 HTC Mecha source, sorry had issues patching up to the latest.
CIFS
EXT4
TUN
Smartass Governor with working sysfs interface, 245 MHz screen off
Interactive Governor
Conservative Governor tweaked
Patched the source as close to the mainline 2.6.32.21 as possible
sysfs VDD interface
Undervolted, just slightly, still need more testing for better values
OverClocked to 1.72GHz, default speed 245MHz-1.22GHz
aic3254 tweaks, i.e., better battery life
Most debugging and tracing turned off
md5sum:

NOTE: THIS IS AN UPDATE.zip file, DO NOT JUST FLASH THE boot.img.

Any idea when we’ll be getting some .37 kernels?

ok, ran this all day. was able to oc to 1.7 but did not leave it there for long. everything seems to work fine. i did get a reboot when i was going down from 1.7 on the min speed in setcpu (had throttled both min and max to 1.7 to test). no other issues that i noticed. eagerly waiting for full BFS HAVS kernel and patches up to .33 as the inc kernel and 128-245mhz freq for screen-off. Also, is smartass default gov in the kernel?
